The Calendar of Volunteering
This calendar portrays some of the volunteering opportunities at the Co-op. During the ordering cycles (Friday - Tuesday), you can select times in the volunteering category of the shopping portion of the website (for example, in Bethlehem or Emmaus).
Emmaus Bethlehem Allentown Easton At Home Volunteers REALLY needed
Each member family is asked to volunteer 4 or more hours per month. The Co-op has no paid staff. Hard-working volunteers allow us to keep our costs down. Low overhead costs allow us to offer healthful foods at minimal mark-up. Discounts for food purchases for families working 4 hours per month is 7% on non-sale items. Discounts for food purchases for families working 6 hours or more is 12% on non-sale items.
There are many different volunteer opportunities. For example, one could welcome new members with a phone call, work on a committee, help with delivery days, and so on. You need not have any particular time open. Also, Community Exchange Time Dollars may also be used for your volunteer time.
